Factory reset your device:
This is a ‘last resort’ if you’ve tried everything else on this list and
just aren’t getting the performance you need out of your Fire TV Stick. This
will uninstall any apps that didn’t come pre-installed and change all your
settings back to default, so remember to go through this list again afterwards
to change them back.
1. From
the Android TV Home screen, scroll down and select Settings.
2. Select Storage & Reset.
3. Then select the second option, Factory Data Reset.
4. There
may be several options here, depending on the TV box you have. Some options may
be Fast Reset, Full Reset, Cancel, or other such choices. For a factory reset,
choose the Full Reset option.
If the menu doesn’t have this option, choose the one which you think is best.
5. When you have made a select, one prompt screen may appear. This will
confirm that you are sure you want to perform the desired action. Verify to
begin the factory reset.
6. As soon as your device
finishes, then you can start using it again. Ideally, the TV box will perform a
lot faster. Also, any problem you may have been experiencing should be gone already.
